Aqeeqah, an Islamic terminology, is defined as the animal that is slaughtered on the occasion of child birth. For the child there should be aqeeqah, on behalf of the child make sacrifice and remove the hair – Hadith (Bukhari).
As a service to our wonderful community, we are honoured to be able to fulfil an Aqeeqah for your child in accordance to Islamic Tradition, slaughter an animal and provide complete raw meat.
When placing an order for the Aqeeqah please add the name of the child and the father’s name – for instance, Ali bin Muhammad or Aisha bint Muhammad – in the notes section. With this trust we proceed to select a fine lamb for the child.
Please also confirm how you would like your meat. Chops will always be available as chops unless instructed otherwise. The legs and shoulders can be diced (on or off the bone), steaked, halved, sliced or left whole. Anything left over will be diced on the bone and packed separately for curry or stock.
Please Note: If we do not receive any special cutting instructions, then we will process the whole lamb as diced on bone (curry pieces) as is usual in our communities.
We can also distribute any share of your Aqeeqah meat to charity so kindly stipulate if you wish us to do this on your behalf.
The Tradition instructs two lambs for a boy and one lamb for a girl.
